(Note: Emilie had an accident on a trolly train . She fell and hit her head and died from a cerebral hemorrhage She was living with her daughter Gertrude at the time.
The family lived in Espanola near Manitoulin Island until a fire destroyed their home. The children were then separated and sent to live with other families. They were not reunited again and mostly lost contact with each other . Emelie at one time worked for the weathy O'Niel family in Ottawa taking care of their twins. The year 1910 seemed to be an eventful year for the family. The marriage of Emma, the birth of Gertrude and then the death of 7 year old Jeanne Lorette.
